Team DDF run in the Canberra Marathon

We are thrilled to share with you our recent participation in the Canberra Marathon held on Sunday, April 16th. Johnny Taylor, one of our dedicated supporters, ran an impressive 42.2 kilometers and was accompanied by Natalie Dwyer, Stephanie Way and Cameron Rettke, who completed the half marathon of 21.1 kilometers. Despite the difficult conditions of wind and rain, our runners pushed through and achieved great results.

Daniela Dwyer, the inspiration behind our foundation, was known for her strength and resilience as she competed in various endurance events such as half marathons, triathlons, and a half iron man. We are proud to see her legacy of determination continue through our runners.

RESULTS

Johnny Taylor – Marathon – 3h 20m 59s
Natalie Dwyer – Half Marathon – 1h 58m 46s
Stephanie Way – Half Marathon – 2h 5m 18s
Cameron Rettke – Half Marathon – 1 hr 58m 47s

We would also like to express our gratitude to all the supporters who came out to cheer on our team despite the harsh weather conditions. Your presence and encouragement made a huge difference in motivating our runners to keep going.

Finally, we would like to give a special shoutout to Johnny Taylor for raising an incredible amount of $6,785. This was made possible by all of those who generously donated, we cannot thank you enough. We were also able to collaborate with Johnny’s workplace, Rio Tinto, who matched the donations made by their employees. These funds will be used to support the foundation’s initiatives and programs.

If you are interested in joining our team in future events, we encourage you to subscribe to our newsletter or follow us on Instagram, where we will keep you updated on all our upcoming activities.

Thank you for your continued support of the Daniela Dwyer Foundation.
